Though the Notes tab is NOT the place to store transactional or historical information, it is still a great place to put information that otherwise has no home. At our office we use it for office hours, unique directions, phone menus, etc. Either way, one may still want to secure who can create or edit Notes tab notes.
Fortunately, GoldMine has a way of doing that.
- As a user with Master rights, click Tools | User’s Settings…
- Highlight the appropriate user and click the Properties button.
- Click on the Access tab.
- Near the bottom left you will see the options that control the Notes Access. Add/Remove check-marks as needed.
